Today I wanted to share my current hair care routine with one of my favorite hair care brands:Schwarzkopf Gliss™ Ultimate Repair Shampoo® , that I always purchase at CVS. Below, I will let you know what products I’ve been loving lately and how I use them to maintain healthy, shiny hair. First off, a little bit about the Schwarzkopf Gliss™ Ultimate Repair line. What I absolutely love about this brand is that it really helps repair my dry and damaged hair. In the summer, my hair is always dry due to being exposed to the sun. However, during the winter months, I typically wear hats whenever I am out, which often leaves my hair feeling dry and dull looking. Schwarzkopf Gliss™ Ultimate Repair helps in regaining my hair strength and shine any time my hair needs it. By the way, did you know that the Ultimate Repair Shampoo and Conditioner won the Allure Best of Beauty Award (best shampoo & conditioner) for damaged hair? Gliss products have Hair-Identical Keratin, which repairs damaged hair and replaces the lost Keratin for regained strength and smoother hair surface. It can repair up to 10 layers deep. Due to this, and other reasons, it is simply my go to brand.

So what’s my hair care routine? I start by washing my hair with Schwarzkopf Gliss™ Ultimate Repair Shampoo® . The shampoo is very efficient, so just a little bit will go a long way. Currently, my hair is medium length, so I simply put a dollop of the shampoo on my hand (really just enough to fill the center of my palm) and then gently apply it throughout my hair, working from the top to the bottom.

Next, is time for conditioner. This is a very important step, and I simply can’t imagine not having any hair conditioner in the shower. The Schwarzkopf Gliss™ Ultimate Repair Conditioner® seems to work wonders immediately after application. When I rinse my hair, it feels so soft, silky and free of tangles. It’s almost like the damage to my hair is gone right then and there. It’s truly that amazing.

While still in the shower, I apply the Schwarzkopf Gliss™ Hair Mask® for 5 minutes. Together with the conditioner, it gives my hair that extra something which it really needs. It hydrates my hair really well, nourishes it, and adds to the overall hair repair. This has made a HUGE difference to my hair. I can’t imagine what I would do without it.

The drying part has always been my least favorite thing. Sometimes, especially during the summer, I let my hair dry by itself. In winter, though, it’s not practical, as it’s freezing outside, so I am forced to dry my hair before going anywhere. While I dry my hair, I always use a brush to comb through my hair to detangle it. With the Schwarzkopf Gliss Ultimate Repair products® , this process is actually so easy, as there are no tangles whatsoever. After one or two brushes, I put the brush away, and use my hand to add some volume to my hair while continuing to dry it.

And voila, it’s really that easy. And I have the Schwarzkopf Gliss Ultimate Repair® n go about my day and feel like I started it off on the right foot. Rodial Beauty Products Review

I haven’t done a beauty post in a while, but since ‘ve been trying many new products and brands lately I decided to share them with you.
Have you heard of Rodial? It’s a beauty brand based in the UK, but you can find their products all over the US as well (Nordstrom’s Bloomingdales, Ulta, etc). I get bored rather easily using the same beauty products so I’m always open to trying something new. I decided to try Rodial as it has received rave reviews all over the web.

The products I want to share with you today are their toner, eye cream, eye pencil, lip plumper and mascara.

My favorite by far is the Dragon’s Blood Hyaluronic Tonic. It makes you feel refreshed, smells like roses and you can notice a difference in your skin textures within a week of using it. It hydrates the skin very well, so it’s not only for the summer months, but also for the winter ones as well. By reading some of the reviews, it also seems to help with several skin issues. I highly recommend this product.

The Snake Eye Cream comes in a large bottle that will last for a long time (and no, I’m not exaggerating). If a little sample can last a month or two, this product, because of it’s size, is definitely worth a splurge. I can never tell the difference when it comes to eye creams, if they do magic on my skin or not, but I look for other features like consistency, and ease of application. For those two things alone, I’m giving it a 10.

The Glamolash Mascara XXL is perfect for those who love lots of volume and thick, dark lashes. As the name suggests, this mascara is like magic as it visibly transformed my eyelashes. I also noticed it lasts long, and even after wearing it all day on a hot summer day, it stills holds on perfectly fine, no smears or anything. Great mascara for sure!

I don’t use eye pencils often but sometimes I do. Instead of buying lower quality products, I prefer to splurge on ones that I know will last a long time, and that are reliable. This Smokey Eye Pen is pretty good I have to say. You can tell right away it’s a great brand when the color lasts all day and it’s really easy to blend in unlike other eye pencils.

And, as for the Dragon’s Blood XXl Lip Plumper, it was a disappointment. It didn’t work for me as it make my lips feel hot and like they were burning. Plus, when it gets in your mouth, it tastes really bad and that feeling goes throughout your whole body (stomach, etc). Not my favorite for sure.

So, there you have it. I highly recommend this brand. Yes, you’re going to spend some more than other brands, but, in my opinion, it’s all worth it.

My Latest Beauty Purchases

My latest make up purchases are Bobbi Brown Skin Foundation Stick and Two Faced Totally Obsessed Set

Who doesn’t like free stuff? This Bobbi Brown Skin Foundation Stick was exactly that. I received it at Nordstrom with a coupon that came in the mail. I thought it would be just a sample size, but to my surprise, I received the full size foundation in warm ivory! Hey, $46 in my pocket! Even for the money, this foundation is worth the prize! It’s big and for someone who applies makeup couple times a week, it will last a long time. I’ve had a chance to use it once so far and I have to tell you, it’s so easy to use, it blends in easily and makes you look like you have nothing on. After all it’s a nude foundation that creates a natural look. No mask on your face whatsoever!

I purchased the Two Faced Totally Obsessed Set because I ran out of the majority of things that were included in this set: the face primer, eye primer, mascara and bronzer. The set also includes the gloss, but the four items I mentioned earlier were the things I really needed, so this set was perfect for me. So far, I’ve had a chance to try the bronzer, which smells like chocolate, which I absolutely love! It’s a matte bronzer, so nothing shiny, just something for a flawless finish. You can actually purchase the full size bronzer here. As for the set, it’s currently out of stock, but keep an eye out as I’m sure it will be back in stock soon. My Favorite Beauty Products Now!

There are some new products I’ve recently tested that I added to my daily skin and make up routine, and there are some old ones that I have used for years and that I absolutely love.

My new favorite is the Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector that I’m using in Golden Opal Pearl. I always finish off my make up with this product, applying it on my cheekbones. I love how it shimmers and highlights whatever areas you wish to highlight. It’s very compact and efficient. The only minus is the fact that you need your own brush to use the product. I prefer the highlighters that come in the stick like for example the Benefit What’s Up that I used prior to now.

Another new discovery, for me, was the Origins High Potency Night-A-Mins Mineral Enriched Renewal Cream that I received as a sample pictured above that came in a tube. Normally it comes in a jar. I have to tell you, it’s one of my favorite creams ever! It smells divine and I guarantee that you will love it (if you love the scent of orange)! It’s also very good for winter as it’s pretty heavy so to speak. You can tell that it moisturizes your skin well.

I do not use face masks that often (maybe once a week if I do not forget), so I usually do not purchase full size masks until I try a sample size. That’s also the case with this Peter Thomas Roth Cucamber Gel Mask that also comes in a jar if you purchase the full size. I used it for the first time last week and I have to say, it’s a great product, mess free, easy to wash off and my skin feels like new after using it. I love all of the botanical extracts (cucumber, papaya, chamomile, pineapple, sugar maple, sugarcane, orange, lemon, bilberry, and aloe) that the mask consists of.

You probably have come across Fresh Sugar Lip Balms as they are extremely popular because yes, they are good. The one I’m using now is Honey. I used other shades as well but I particularly like this one as it’s pretty much sheer and neutral. This product is going to be a savior for you during winter months as it keeps your dry lips moist and it relieves the burning pain of your very dry lips in an instant.

My Makeup Essentials

In this post I’m going to share my makeup essentials.

No makeup can be complete without a good mascara. I used to use a lot mascaras sold by Victoria’s Secret, but since they discontinued their makeup line, I had to find something new. Currently, I’m using Clinique Lash Doubling and Benefit They’re Real! Lenghtening & Volumizing.

When I was younger I did not use primers, but nowadays, I can’t imagine putting make up on without them. They definitely make your makeup stay on longer. For face, I’m using Cover FX Primer that I received a s a sample, and for eyes, my favorite Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion (Original). I’m on my second tube right now.

My eyeshadow palette consists of browns, pinks and purples. This YSL eyeshadow compact contains purples tones. It’s an older palette, but you can get similar colors in Couleurs 05 compact. For cheeks, I love Becca Beach Tint. I love that you can put it on both your cheeks and lips. I rarely use lipsticks, but I can’t leave the house without lip gloss. This one is Elizabeth Arden and can be purchased at Macy’s. It is peach in tone, which is great if you need a nude look for any situation.
