Color Blocking Is Back – Fall Trend 2018

How do you feel about the color blocking trend? I’m actually loving it, but I don’t think I could pull off some of the looks as they can be pretty bold. I guess it depends what colors are mixed together. I definitely like to see all the Autumn colors together because these are the ones that are usually toned down; for example, beige and brown, or mustard and burgundy. The more funky combinations (neons and bright colors) on the other hand, would be good when you want to add a pop of color to one color outfit. It’s definitely a nice trend to play around with and I love how you can find so many color blocking pieces out there not only featuring interesting color combinations but also different shapes and color blocking patterns. That being said, I’m leaving you with these fun color blocking pieces that I see myself wearing. Which one is your favorite?

Mid-Rise Utility Pixie Ankle Chinos for Women

Let me start this post with good news! With the exception of the Mid-Rise Utility Pixie Ankle Chinos for Women, all the pieces I’m sharing with you today are $10.90 and less, because I wanted to show you how you can get some really cute outfits for Fall that are affordable at the same time. As you can see, there are a lot of Fall colors here.

The Lettuce Edge Mock Neck Top in apricot will be great color to match with a brown cardigan, for example. The same goes for the Stretch-Knit Long-Sleeve Top . I love its mauve shade that simply screams Fall and it’s for sure a great basic top to have for Fall as you can pair it up with jeans or skirts.

Another great basic tee is the EveryWear Striped Slub-Knit Tee for Women. It’s perfect for a casual day to wear with a pair of pants and jean jacket, for example.

The Striped Mock Neck Top features some great Fall colors, from burgundy to orange and I’m planning to wear it with a nice pinafore dress and a cute hat.

The Striped Turtleneck Top in black and white is such a classic turtleneck that I think everyone should have in their closet. You can wear it with black jeans, corduroy or suede skirts for Fall and more.

The Knit Sweater in Beige  is only $9.99 and it comes in several colors. I got it in basic beige because it will go with pretty much anything.

I also love the  Draped-Front Cardigan in mauve. I have several of these from previous years and it’s something I usually throw on when it’s still pretty warm outside. You can put a nice short sleeve top underneath and it’s a nice cardigan that will add a chic and stylish accent to your basic outfit.

Last, but not least, I really like the Mid-Rise Utility Pixie Ankle Chinos for Women. I love the olive leaf print and the fact that it’s in green – perfect for Fall.

What Fall trends have you noticed so far?

I absolutely love the orange color popping up everywhere this season. It’s a great color for Fall because it will go well with brown or black cardigans and jackets. It’s becoming a staple color this Fall like red is for Winter.

Caps are back as well! I’ve always loved them, but they come in and out of style depending on the year so I didn’t really wear them in the past, so I’m glad they are emerging yet again. You can find them in any store nowadays. I especially love the corduroy or suede ones in either brown or red. They are for sure a perfect Fall accessory to have.

Last, but not least, you know I’m obsessed with leopard print this Fall and yes, it’s been everywhere this year. Whatever piece of clothing it is, you name it, and you can find it in leopard print these days so easily. From big pieces like sweaters, coats, skirts to shoes, belts, scarves and more. It’s a big trend now and you simply can’t pass up getting something in this print for Fall.

Is it just me, or has pineapple stormed the fashion world lately. I see them everywhere in stores – as candles, sippy cups, on pillows, in jewelry and of course on clothes. And I’m actually not complaining as this is, in fact, a very fresh and summery motif that just screams summertime. So whatever you’re shopping for now, make sure you have a piece of pineapple (not the fruit itself of course) in your wardrobe this season. I’ve gathered just a taste of what you might want to get for yourself.
