My Favorite Color This Summer Is…

This summer I’m all about the color red, specifically berry. When you read through my posts, you have probably noticed me wearing a lot of ruby/burgundy outfits.  For example, this dress. But it’s not only berry color clothing that I am obsessing about these days. I also have a need for any berry lip glosses, nail polishes and just everything else! The products below are exactly what I’m talking about! Here you can find the Sally Hansen nail polish in Mauve Over, the Sephora Collection Colorful Eyeshadow in Berry Crush, and the Too Faced lipstick in Rosy Orchid.

Sally Hansen nail polish in Mauve Over, the Sephora Collection Colorful Eyeshadow in Berry Crush, and the Too Faced lipstick in Rosy Orchid.

This Too Faced lipstick has become my favorite since I first started using it! Actually, I can say it’s the best lipstick I’ve ever used and I’m not saying it just because of the color. I love how easy it is to apply – so easy that it almost reminds me of a lip gloss. And it’s not called long lasting for no reason!

Too Faced lipstick in Rosy Orchid.

The Sally Hansen nail polish in Mauve Over has also become my favorite, as the color is so versatile. It looks good no matter what you wear and where you go.

I have to say I haven’t tried the Sephora Collection Colorful Eyeshadow in Berry Crush yet, but I can’t wait to pair it with the Sally Hansen nail polish in Mauve Over as well as the Too Faced lipstick in Rosy Orchid. These three will for sure look fabulous together!

My Favorite Hair Products

Victoria's Secret Hair Products

Victoria's Secret Hair Products

When it comes to my hair routine, I keep it pretty simple. I usually pair up a shampoo with a conditioner and apply some styling product after washing my hair. Once a week I apply a hair mask instead of a conditioner. I have some favorite products I always go back to though. Actually there are several of them and I usually switch off between them. Recently, I’ve purchased the Victoria’s Secret Hair Total Volume Conditioner as well as the Victoria’s Secret Mini Leave-in Conditioner. I received samples of the Victoria’s Secret shampoo and conditioner many years ago and since that time I have always purchased them. My favorite thing about the whole Victoria’s Secret hair line is the scent. It smells divine and sexy. After all, that’s what the Victoria’s Secret is all about, right?

Victoria's Secret Hair Total Volume Conditioner

The Victoria’s Secret Hair Total Volume Conditioner does its job very well. It’s not too heavy on the hair so your hair won’t feel overwhelmed by this product at all. After a while your hair will feel soft and have that beautiful shiny look.

Victoria's Secret Mini Leave-in Conditioner

My all favorite hair product from Victoria’s Secret is the Victoria’s Secret Mini Leave-in Conditioner. You just spray it all over your hair and let the magic happen. It detangles your hair easily and is’s perfect for styling too. I usually use it when I know I’m going to use a flat iron as it also protects your hair from heat. It’s a great all-in-one product indeed.

Argan Oil of Morocco

My favorite hair mask is Argan Oil of Morocco. I always buy it at Ulta. I tried other hair masks too but I prefer this one. It goes perfect with the Victoria’s Secret hair line I’ve been using because it also promotes softness and shine. It’s exactly what my hair needs.

My Latest Grabs

In this post I’m going to show you latest grabs! Here they are:

Tocca Isabel

I have a February birthday, and this Tocca Isabel perfume which appeared in the “Spring Wish List” post I prepared not that long ago, was on my birthday wish list this year.  Of all the Tocca fragrances that I smelled, this one was my absolute favorite. My favorite flower is lilies of the valley, so anything that remotely smells like that is something that I have to have. And this perfume definitely reminds me of them. Another thing that I like about this brand is that all of the perfumes have feminine names. I didn’t realize that each fragrance represents a different type of girl. You can read what type of a girl you are based on the fragrance you choose. Mine says: “A chic city girl from Barcelona, Isabel is an unconventional yet remarkable beauty. Like her hometown, she is eclectic, unpredictable, and captivating…”. So there you have it. By the way, I love this perfume!

Fleece V-neck Shift Dress

I got this Fleece V-neck Shift Dress on sale for $10! It seems simple yet chic and I can’t wait to wear it when it finally gets warmer outside. It’s going to be perfect for a casual look with ankle high boots or flats. The colors are white and olive (I thought I would make it clear because the picture doesn’t show it well).

COACH swagger carryall

I needed a larger brown bag for a while now because nothing seemed to match my brown ankle boots, so I purchased this Swagger Carryall beauty. It’s very spacious, light and the color is exactly what I needed. The bag has two larger compartments separated with a zipper, plus some smaller pockets inside. It doesn’t have a strap, so you will have to decide if that is something for you or not. All of my other bags come with straps, so that’s why this time I opted for something different.

My Favorite Perfumed Body Lotions

In this post I want to share with you my favorite perfumed lotions. I don’t use them on a daily basis because they are too strong for my liking, but they smell fantastic and are a perfect alternative to a perfume. Also, they are not the cheapest lotions, but you can easily get them in a set along with a perfume bottle which will save you some money. Here they are:

My favorite perfumed body lotions

 Stella Body Lotion

My favorite perfumes ever are from Stella McCartney so obviously I’m going to love the Stella Body Lotion as well. It smells exactly like the perfume (roses, peony, some mandarin and amber). It’s very sensual and feminine and is perfect for those that love floral scents.

Hermes Caleche body lotion

Another great lotion is Hermes Caleche. I love Hermes’ lotions because they spread so easily. You don’t need to use half of the tube to cover your entire body. Just a little bit goes a long way as its consistency is more watery. This particular lotion has a floral and woody scent. It is a very strong scent and can be either a turn-on, or a turn-off for people (depending on if they like strong scents or not).

 24 Faubourg Perfumed Body Lotion

The other Hermes scent I love is 24 Faubourg Perfumed Body Lotion. Very similar to the Hermes Caleche, except you can find touches of amber in the scent too. It’s a very romantic and sensual scent that I absolutely love As I can attest, you will get lots and lots of compliments from others when they smell it!

My Favorite Beauty Products Now!

My favorite beauty products

There are some new products I’ve recently tested that I added to my daily skin and make up routine, and there are some old ones that I have used for years and that I absolutely love.

Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector

My new favorite is the Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector that I’m using in Golden Opal Pearl. I always finish off my make up with this product, applying it on my cheekbones. I love how it shimmers and highlights whatever areas you wish to highlight. It’s very compact and efficient. The only minus is the fact that you need your own brush to use the product. I prefer the highlighters that come in the stick like for example the Benefit What’s Up that I used prior to now.

Origins High Potency Night-A-Mins Mineral Enriched Renewal Cream

Another new discovery, for me, was the Origins High Potency Night-A-Mins Mineral Enriched Renewal Cream that I received as a sample pictured above that came in a tube. Normally it comes in a jar. I have to tell you, it’s one of my favorite creams ever! It smells divine and I guarantee that you will love it (if you love the scent of orange)! It’s also very good for winter as it’s pretty heavy so to speak. You can tell that it moisturizes your skin well.

Peter Thomas Roth Cucamber Gel Mask

I do not use face masks that often (maybe once a week if I do not forget), so I usually do not purchase full size masks until I try a sample size. That’s also the case with this Peter Thomas Roth Cucamber Gel Mask that also comes in a jar if you purchase the full size. I used it for the first time last week and I have to say, it’s a great product, mess free, easy to wash off and my skin feels like new after using it. I love all of the botanical extracts (cucumber, papaya, chamomile, pineapple, sugar maple, sugarcane, orange, lemon, bilberry, and aloe) that the mask consists of.

Fresh Sugar Lip Balms

You probably have come across Fresh Sugar Lip Balms as they are extremely popular because yes, they are good. The one I’m using now is Honey. I used other shades as well but I particularly like this one as it’s pretty much sheer and neutral. This product is going to be a savior for you during winter months as it keeps your dry lips moist and it relieves the burning pain of your very dry lips in an instant.

My Makeup Essentials

Makeup essentials

In this post I’m going to share my makeup essentials.

Makeup essentials

No makeup can be complete without a good mascara. I used to use a lot mascaras sold by Victoria’s Secret, but since they discontinued their makeup line, I had to find something new. Currently, I’m using Clinique Lash Doubling  and Benefit They’re Real! Lenghtening & Volumizing.

 Makeup essentials

When I was younger I did not use primers, but nowadays, I can’t imagine putting make up on without them. They definitely make your makeup stay on longer. For face, I’m using Cover FX Primer that I received a s a sample, and for eyes, my favorite Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion (Original). I’m on my second tube right now.

Makeup essentials

My eyeshadow palette consists of browns, pinks and purples. This YSL eyeshadow compact contains purples tones. It’s an older palette, but you can get similar colors in Couleurs 05 compact. For cheeks, I love Becca Beach Tint. I love that you can put it on both your cheeks and lips. I rarely use lipsticks, but I can’t leave the house without lip gloss. This one is Elizabeth Arden and can be purchased at Macy’s. It is peach in tone, which is great if you need a nude look for any situation.

Klorane Dry Shampoo with Oat Milk Natural Tint and Klorane Mango Oil

IMG_6128

Some of you might already know from Instagram about my recent Sephora purchase – Klorane Dry Shampoo with Oat Milk Natural Tint and Klorane Mango Oil.

Klorane Dry Shampoo with oat Milk

When you’re a mom taking care of two little kids, you don’t always have time to care for your hair by washing it every day. That’s why lately I started to use dry shampoos. I saw this Klorane Dry Shampoo with Oat Milk Natural Tint reviewed in many of the magazines that I read. One even cited it as the best dry shampoo out there, so I decided to give it a try. I have to tell you, after already trying several other dry shampoos, this one is now my all-time favorite. It really makes a difference. I usually wash my hair one day and then the following day use dry shampoo. After applying this dry shampoo the second day, my hair looked exactly like it did on the first day, meaning clean and washed. The shampoo even made it easier to put my hair together. It added some volume and texture to my hair in an instant. Notice: This particular dry shampoo is made for darker hair only, as it contains some pigments that will result in a beige tint. I can imagine it wouldn’t look too good on someone that has blonde hair. But you can purchase the Klorane Dry Shampoo with Oat Milk, which is made for all hair types.

Klorane mango Oil

In the summer, it’s always good to protect your hair from UV damage, which from the sun alone dries your hair out a lot. That’s why I found this perfect product – Klorane Mango Oil. You simply spray it on damp or dry hair, and it will protect your hair from UV rays, sun or even salt water. And you will love its long lasting mango scent! I have to tell you that I couldn’t stop smelling my hair after applying this oil. And even though I used it in the morning, I could still smell it in the evening. You won’t need to spray any other fragrances on you! And as a bonus, this mango oil leaves you hair really soft to the touch. You can definitely tell it’s doing what it is supposed to be doing – which is nourishing your hair.

My Three Must Have Beauty Products

In this post I would like to showcase three products that I absolutely love and can’t live without. I actually purchased all of the products for a second time because they are that good, in my opinion. Here they are:

night cream, eye cream, eye primer

The Clinique All About Eyes eye cream is the perfect size, even though it might look small to you. Using just the tip of your finger you will have enough to put under and around your eye. It spreads easily and doesn’t really have any scent. I use it twice a day (morning and evening), and despite using it that much, it has lasted for close to 6 months. For $31, it’s really worth it. Plus if you follow Sephora’s weekly specials, you might be lucky enough to score it free with a $25 purchase, like I did with my second jar. Yay!

The Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion is an absolute must have make up essential I would feel naked without if I didn’t have it on. I tried it once (actually the other variations of it as well) and it became my must have in an instant. I love all the other Urban Decay’s eye primers as much as this one, but I decided to get the original kind for the second time as it’s nude and will pretty much work with every eyeshadow. And I swear by how great these primers are. I can wear eyeshadow all day long with no creases at the end of the day. And again, it might seem small, but really, how much can you put on an eyelid? Not much! That’s why it’s another product that will last quite a while.

The Omorovicza Rejuvenating Night Cream is one of my most expensive beauty products, as it’s $235 for 1.7 oz. But like the saying goes, good things come in small packages! And this is definitely one of them. This cream lasts a good 6 to 7 months simply because it’s not too heavy. It just takes a small amount (the tip of your finger is a good bet) and it will easily spread all over your face and neck. And, as an added bonus, it smells lovely too! And the results, I don’t have any wrinkles on my face! I can tell from experience with using this product that it does the job really well.
